UASRA Positions & ByLaws
The President is to protect and further the interests of the residents of UCLA University Apartments/South (UA/S).
The President is the chief executive board member and is elected or removed in accordance with the UASRA Constitution.
The purpose of the Vice President is to oversee specified board members and general officers of the UASRA. In addition, the Vice President is to be informed and prepared to act as or assist the President regarding external affairs as needed.
The purpose of the Treasurer is to enable UASRA to function in an organized manner by drafting a budget, making disbursements and managing cash flow, and keeping complete financial records.
The general purpose of the Website Editor is to oversee the production of the UASRA Website.
The purpose of the Event Coordinator is to organize and hold events for the residents of the University Apartments/South that are inclusive of all members and that encourage community building.
Community Center Coordinator
The purpose of the Community Center Coordinator (CCC) is to provide programs, classes, and events for UASRA residents in an attempt to provide constructive activities for them to be involved in and to represent their concerns and interests. The CCC is also responsible for scheduling events and overseeing the cleaning and condition of the Community Center and Sepulveda Resource Room for the use of UASRA, Management, University Apartments/South residents, and other related organizations.
The general purpose of the Unit Representatives is to bring student families together, represent their concerns and interests, and keep them informed of University Apartments/South issues. There are 13 unit representatives for the Keystone, Mentone/Clarington, Rose, Venice/Barry, Sawtelle, and Sepulveda Apartments.
Sawtelle Community Center Maintenance Coordinator
The purpose of the Sawtelle Community Center Maintenance Coordinator (SCCM) is to maintain and grant access to the Sawtelle Community Center for reserved events. The position aims to maintain the condition of the Community Center.
Sepulveda Resource Room Maintenance Coordinator
The purpose of the Sepulveda Resource Room Maintenance Coordinator (SRMC) is to maintain and grant access to the Sepulveda Resource Room for reserved events. The position aims to maintain the condition of the Resource Room.
Community Garden Supervisor
The purpose of the Community Garden Supervisor is to coordinate the use of the gardens at University Village for residents and to serve as a resource and advisor to resident gardeners.
The positions of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer can only be held by a resident who has served at least three months as an officer in the UASRA.
