Hi dear neighbors, Hope you are all safe and healthy. The covid-delta virus is tightening its presence around us, swiftly and vigorously. A positive step forwrard is that FDA has finally approved the vaccine. Please note that All ucla students, postdocs, those actively registered with ucla, whether visiting campus in person or working from home, are mandatorily required to get covid vaccine by Sept 9, 2021 except those medically exempted. For those in non-compliance, direct conversations with admin office will happen, leading upto cancellation of appointment/housing. Please help in spreading the word and raise awareness. Eligible dependents are also highly encouraged to get the vaccines. In a month or so, children 5 yrs and above will also be eligible for the shots. "Blood drive at the LDS Church down the street on Sawtelle on Friday, Aug. 6th, UCLA community welcome. If you are eligible for Blood Time, forms will be available at this drive and you will also receive a $5 Gift Card."

Hi neighbors,
Our day to day lives rely heavily on social media connectivity, and owing to the covid-19 work from home and physical distancing, our social media reliance has increased manifolds!
As UASRA community, we want to share that we are utilizing the uasra website space (members chats, blogposts, forums) for most of our conversations and uasra officers' emails https://www.uasra.org/committee for offcial conversations. As we move further in the term 2021-2022, we want to reduce/remove the official UASRA presence away from the facebook group, https://www.facebook.com/groups/UASRA. We want our group members to network on the facebook group and utilize it as a marketplace, chat and share/receive blurbs of uasra happenings as shared on the uasra website. In doing so, we would participate on the facebook group only as neighbors using our pesonal accounts, where we can converse freely within the bounds of healthy conversations, such that it offers equitable, inclusive space to all and, positive mental health growth. With time we will have resident volunteers as admins to add new group members. We are still looking to fill out the follwing positions for UASRA officers.
